SSR & AA - The educational qualification for an AA & SSR are Class XII pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Other entry-level include Matric Recruits (MR), for the purpose of stewards and cooks. Recruits require a Class X pass certificate. Non-matric recruits require a minimum qualification of Class VI pass and can be recruited into the position of topass. Musicians must have passed Class X and exhibit an aptitude for music.
Recruits are inducted on the basis of a written test, followed by a physical examination and a medical examination. There are several avenues of entry in the Indian Navy
A sailor can become a commissioned officer subject to certain conditions, depending on his performance and exam results.
Educational Qualification --
Sailor (AA) -10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from the Boards of School Education.
Sailor (SSR)-10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects: - Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education.
Age Limit - Candidates should be born between 01st August 2000 to 31st July 2003 (Both dates inclusive)
